Little Miss Independent
Sophia loves food. It doesn't matter what it is, she will eat it. I made enchiladas one night and thought they would be too hot for her, so I pulled out some mac and cheese. No she wanted what we were eating. So I gave some enchiladas to her and she loved them. She definitely has Bentley in her! I could eat Mexican food everyday. She has also decided that Mom and Dad are no longer allowed to help feed her. She wants to do it on her own, so here are a bunch of fun pictures to show it. You can only imagine what my kitchen floor looks like. I have to mop it everyday to clean up her messes. We sure do love her to death!!
I can do what Mommy does
I have an exercise ball that I love. My favorite thing to do is stretch my back out on it. I usuallly do it everyday, and Sophie loves to watch. She decided the other day that she could do it to. At first I was trying to figure out what she was doing, but then it became very obvious. I hurried and grab the camera and was able to get this shot.
The next day. I got her to do it again so that Ryan could see it. She is pretty talented because she can even do it with her sippy cup and can go both ways. This girl does not miss a thing!

Slow Dancing
I have said it before, Sophia LOVES to dance. Our favorite day of the week is Friday because Ryan is home. It is his one day to get caught up on homework and spend some time with his girls. We love it, because we get to eat breakfast together and enjoy some quality time. Well, we had the music on and Sophie was having a ball dancing with Daddy. Then a slow song came on and she dropped her head on his shoulder and gave him the cutest little hugs and he danced her around the kitchen. I just couldn't help but grab the camera. It was so sweet! She has kind of an onery face in the picture, but trust me she was loving it. As soon as the song was over she was back to her groovin' it!
Hitch Hikin'
Okay, this post is in honor of Nate. He wanted Lacey to title her Pumpkin Patch Trip this and she didn't, so I thought I would. It is tradition to go down to the Red Barn and take the wagon ride out to the Pumpkin Patch to pick out our pumpkins, eat pumpkin pie ice cream, and have apple cider and their to die for cake donuts. Well, Lacey read on the internet that they were open all day during UEA. So we decided to go out Wednesday evening. Come to find out they were only open for reserved groups. They told us the groups were too large and so we would have to come back another night. So Nate decides that if we just hang around the wagons that we can squeeze on. Sure enough they had a little extra room. So we "HITCH HIKED" out to the pumpkin patch. We had a great time. Sophia just wanted down so she could go all over by herself. I had a hard time getting any pictures of her because she wouldn't hold still long enough. She wasn't quite used to the uneven ground and so she did her fair share of tumbling. She tripped over a pumpkin and rolled head to toe over it. We were all laughing so hard, when I realized I should be a good mom and pick her up and console her. Poor thing. It didn't stop her for long. We had a great night and were glad that Nate, Lacey, Maddy and their friends Bryan, Marcae and little Mia could join us.

Muchas Gracias
A BIG Thank You to everyone that donated and participated in the PKD Walk! Ryan's Family was so great to walk with me. His parents came up with us and then we met his sister Sandi and her 3 kids. We had a great time even though it rained on us. Little Garrett (4 years old) was so excited! Sandi said that all week he had been gearing up for the walk. She said that he told her one night that "tomorrow is Thursday, then Friday, and then we walk with Aunt Natalie." He was determined to walk the whole way on his own, which I must say that he accomplished! Sophie loved the drums as we "marched", and they all enjoyed the glow sticks in honor of Papito! We were able to see so many other families that struggle with the disease. It made me count my blessing because there were several families that had 3 and 4 members with PKD. So Muchas Gracias to all of you that supported me! I love you tons! Dad we love you and are so grateful for the example that you are to all of us of perseverance and determination!

I have put together a team to participate in the annual Walk for PKD. Proceeds from the walk benefit the PKD Foundation - the only organization world-wide, dedicated to finding a cure for PKD. I would love for you to walk with me by joining Team Papito! Together we'll work to raise funds for patient education and research to find a cure for Polycystic Kidney Disease.

Feeding the Ducks
This summer our favorite bike ride is down to Spring Lake so we can feed the ducks. The only problem is once we get there the ducks swarm all around me and it freaks me out! Ryan and Sophie just laugh as I try to run from them or shew them away. I don't know what it is, but they will not leave me alone! Other than me looking like an idiot it is still one of my favorite things to do.
Forget the ducks, this is yummy!
