Summer Fun

Swinging
Sophia's latest obsession besides Elmo is swinging! I can't believe how much she loves it. We go to the park or Ryan's parents house just about everyday.
Biking
We decided that we needed to start using our bikes more so we got a bike trailer for Sophie. She loves it! She cries when Ryan stops and flies out of my arms to get into it. Maddy came to play on Friday while Lacey was getting some teaching hours. We took the girls for a ride. Mads didn't want to get in at first and Sophie was looking at her like, "are you crazy this is so much fun!" Once we got going she decided it wasn't that bad.
Swimming
We have taken Sophie swimming a couple of times and she loves it until she gets water up her nose. When Maddy was at our house we filled up the pool. Sophie just wishes she was a big as Mads.

Baseball
We went to watch Caden and Griffin's last ball game. They both did great! I still remember when they played T-ball and ran the bases backwards. Boy they have grown up since then.

Payson Canyon

Our favorite place is Payson Canyon. We have been trying to spend as much time as possible up there this summer doing a little hiking. Here are few of the places we have been.

The Grotto
One of our favorite hikes is to the Grotto. It only takes 10-15 minutes and there is a great reward at the end. We went up there with Ryan's Mom and niece Anjoli a couple of weeks ago. We have never seen it quite like this. There was so much water crashing down that we couldn't even hear each other because it was so loud. Part of the trail was washed out so we had to do a little maneuvering to get everyone up to it, but it was definitely worth it.

The Pine Forest
We didn't take the camera on this one, but it is straight up the gas line trail and it will definitely get the heart rate going. We didn't quite make it all the way because Sophie was ready for bed, but we have been there before and it is just a great hike.

Jones Ranch
We hiked this one last week with Ryan's parents. The last time I was up there was last July when I was way pregnant and huffing and puffing the whole way. We didn't make it much further this time because we keep going after Ryan gets off work and Sophie is ready for bed. I had to feed her puffed cheese balls and fruit snacks to keep her happy long enough to get back to the car. One of these days we will make it all the way to Payson Lakes.

Four Bay
This is our Sunday walk spot. It is great because Kuma can jump in and out of the creek to cool down, run across logs and chase snakes. Yes, I did say snakes. They freak me out everytime. They just little garden and blow snakes but I don't care. Sophie loves this spot and will hang out of her back pack to watch Kuma the whole time. We love this place

The Sweetest Sounds

These are some of my favorite sounds.

I love it when Sophia wakes up in the morning and is talking in her crib. I took this video a while ago so now she is usually standing up and holding on to the rails. When I go in to get her she gets this big cheeser! It is one of my favorites!
Sophia is obsessed with Elmo. She really could give a care less about Sesame Street, but when she hears nananana, nananana Elmo's World in that high pitch voice she heads right for the television and climbs up to talk to him. I love it! Now she has upgraded to holding on to the entertainment center with one hand and dancing around with the other. That usually lasts until she falls and bashes her head or Elmo is over.
